Finally Feeling Good!!

It was so nice to have a couple weeks off chemo. Mike and I enjoyed our anniversary trip to San Diego. We stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado which is nice but an old hotel. We had nice weather and it was very relaxing. I did a lot of reading and napping. We did rent bikes for an hour one day and rode around the island. I had not been on a bike since my knee injury but it held up well. It was a little stiff that night but I had fun.
I love Mike for making this trip happen and for keeping my spirits lifted.
Here we are at breakfast.
Chemo this round went much better. I only have one more treatment to do and then my doctor is going to switch me to the pill form of chemo. The side effects and treatment should be much better than the last few months have been. My CEA score went down again even with the break. It is now 3.6 and in the normal range. Hopefully I can hold it there for a while.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. It helps me so much. I'm enjoying each precious day I get and hopefully there will still be many more to come.

New CEA Score

On Tuesday my CEA score went down again YEAH!!! and is 6.1. We are looking at the direction more than the number but I have to say that I am glad it is in the single digits again.

A Break from Chemo

Last week I had a great time with my "Utah sister" Cori. We went to Park City and stayed in a 2 bedroom condo type room. We just hunkered down since it was cold outside and sewed and sewed and sewed for 3 days. It was so pretty to look out the window and see all the fall colors and it even snowed one day. We also watched about 12 hours of Anne of Green Gables. Love that show. It was so much fun and I'm glad that we were able to get away and have time together.

I have been fighting a cold/flu on my good week. I went in on Tuesday for a treatment feeling OK but not great. Luckily I got to talk to my doctor and he suggested we just take a break for 2 weeks. YEAH!!!!! Today is mine and Mike's 4 year wedding anniversary and next week we are going to San Diego to celebrate. It's also where we went on our honeymoon. I wanted to make sure that I feel really good and so this little break helps a lot.

I will get a new CEA score later this afternoon and will be sure to post it. I'm hoping it has gone down again.

Here's a funny picture of my cute husband. He was noticing dust in the air and so his bright idea was to vacuum the air.
